I can’t believe it is February already!! According to the groundhog we have 6 more weeks of this wonderful wintery weather!!! If you want to stay warm, come eat come homemade soup and fellowship among friends at the table. Join us here at the Center for our Bridges to Contemplative Living with Thomas Merton every second and fourth Thursday of the month. It is a series based on faith-sharing toward spiritual transformation. This is lead by Kathy Keary and Fr. Gary Richmeier C.P.P.S.
Another six-week program begins Tuesday, February 13 led by Fr. Ron Will, C.P.P.S. based on the book, “Everybody Needs to Forgive Somebody “by Allen Hunt. It is a six-week discussion about how forgiveness unleashes a power that can liberate us and transform our lives and relationships. The evening begins at 6:00pm for a simple soup supper and discussion at 6:45pm.
Growing in Awareness of Pax Christi facilitated by Gabino Zavala will be held Thursday evening, February 15th. Come and learn about the history of Pax Christi and how important this work for peace can involve your actions and dialogue with others. Join us for a light supper at 6:00pm and 6:45 for Gabino’s presentation.
Stukenborg Renovation project is moving forward. We received the permits to begin demolition on the building. Contractors will be on site starting next week February 12th. This process will take about two weeks. We are very excited about this project and looking forward to what the future has store for the Renewal Center!
In March, the Center will be hosting several diverse groups including the LGBT Committee Conference meeting, Beginning Experience Group and Diocesan Youth Ministries Council retreat day, to name a few.
