Protesting Gun Violence in Kansas City

by Br. Daryl Charron, C.PP.S., Peace & Justice Committee Director
The February 13th demonstration at the gun show at the Kansas City Expo Building went well. Those attending including myself had several meaningful conversations with gun owners opposing our views. Our signs indicated that we were for gun violence prevention through stiffer background checks. I believe our group did well to bring attention to the issue. We were grateful that we were featured on the radio as well as a You-tube video. It felt good to network with the Sisters and Associates of the Loretto Community as well as the League of Women Voters. Such networking is key to speaking out on this issue. Please enjoy this video. I hope it inspires you to go to a demonstration in the future.
