This year we remember the 36th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of the four U. S. Churchwomen who died on Dec. 2, 1980 in El Salvador. Dorothy Kazel, O.S.U., Maura Clarke, M.M., Ita Ford, M.M., and Jean Donovan were brutally murdered by the Salvadoran military for their work and dedication to the poor. They gave their lives walking with the children and families who had fallen victim to the escalating violence and oppression that plagued their country. Let us remember their ultimate sacrifice in our prayer.
