Dear Friends,
As we celebrate the birthday of our founder, St. Gaspar, on the Feast of the Epiphany, the words of the poet, Christine Rodgers, come to mind:
512px-Schwetzingen_Heilige_drei_KönigeBe bold like the Magi.
Do not tarry, settling into your comfort,
but rather set out keeping the star
in your vision. It will lead you
to the place you are most in need of,
the place where God is.
And if an angel warns you in a dream
not to return by the old way,
please listen.

There is no better way to honor the birth of our founder than being bold in embracing and living his vision in our time and place. May the spirit of Gaspar continue to take us to the edge where we “make known the depths of God’s mercy (Letter #1214).”
A Healthy, Happy, and Holy 2014!
With peace in the blood of Christ,
