The leaves have fallen, and winter settles in. The bare limbs grace the night sky. The emptying of nature summons us to let go, to simplify, to re-focus, to lift our thoughts to the kingdom that is already but not yet. Come, Lord Jesus! Liberate us from all that embraces the dark. Show us your way of love, reconciliation, and justice. May we be in harmony with all of creation as we welcome you into our hearts. Give us the courage to walk in your ways. Light of the World, do not grow dim. May your brilliance shine within us drawing others into the hope offered in your promise. We pray in the name of the Lamb of God, Christ, our Reconciler. Amen.
