From June 14th to the 17th, the community at Sonnino House in Berkeley, CA hosted the board of the Catholic Association for Lesbian and Gay Ministry (CALGM). It is a organization that provides a network for those ministers and ministries in our Church that work directly with Lesbian and Gay persons, their family, friends and communities. Fr. David Matz, CPPS has been a member of board for over a year. There mission is: Inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Catholic Association for Lesbian and Gay Ministry supports, educates and forms the ministers working in the pastoral care of people in need. The weekend at Sonnino House was a time to clarify our goals and objectives for the next five years. Our time concluded with a hope-filled gathering with the bishop of Oakland, bishop Michael Barber. The Precious Blood LGBT Ministry has been a member of CALGM for the last 5 years.
