Mission Trip Participants from Sacred Heart Parish, Sedalia.

Waking up in the big city is a mix of sounds. I hear the familiar sounds of nature, the birds chirping and the wind whistling through the branches, but also the noise of the city waking up. Debbie Bolin, Precious Blood Companion and Campus Minister at Sacred Heart School in Sedalia, myself along with three high school students from Sacred Heart have traveled here to Chicago on a Mission Trip. We will be spending the next three days at Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation center.
In working with young people, we have been talking about mission trips and where and what we might do. The question was raised, “Why not do something Precious Blood style?” and so here we are.
What did you do on your summer vacation? One might answer, “I went to the Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation center to be immersed in a culture that can open my heart and mind to be more inclusive in my life.” As we spend our time in Chicago with Fr. Dave, Sr. Donna and the rest of the gang, we will just see how this experience opens our hearts, challenges us, and invites us into the lives of others.
We look forward to our experience and sharing from the heart who we are. Please keep us in prayer as we embark on this new adventure.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
