Living the Words of Maria de Mattias

I was able to spend time with Sr. Hang Pham, ASC at Ai Tam this past Thursday. We went to a remote village in our new mobile library van and distributed books to the children there. Ai Tam received a Human Development Fund Grant from the Kansas City Province. They work to give education opportunities to the poorest of the poor. I am honored to serve on their board, and I can say that St. Maria de Mattias would be proud if she were alive today to see the good work at Ai Tam. Sr. Maria said in her letters, “give special attention to the poor and endeavor to lead them on to good.” That is what I saw when I accompanied Sr. Hang last week.
