Fr. Tam Hoang celebrated his first Mass at his home parish in the Central Highlands of Vietnam on June 27th. It was a joyous occasion that welcomed a full church of people. His three sisters who are nuns helped take part in the liturgy that proved to be spiritually uplifting. The reception afterward provided great entertainment including a musical band and singing. There was an abundance of tasty food and drink with festive flowers and decorations everywhere. Tam’s extended family was present and truly proud of their brother and son as a newly ordained priest. The members and candidates were also especially proud of our brother in the Precious Blood Community as he ministered in the faith community that gave birth to his vocation of priesthood. Our Community was especially grateful to the pastor of the parish who is open to Tam celebrating Mass there in the future. We also enjoyed hearing from Tam’s parents as they expressed their gratitude for their son at the reception.
